It started in the pub, which is where most crazy adventures begin. Do you think we could do the Palmetto 200 next year said Katie? Why not said I? Then the cajoling and persuading began and soon we had our team of 12.
The team are a mixture of those who run socially and those who are a bit more hard core, men and women ranging from 17 years old to .....well that would be impolite!
What are we planning to do? Run just over 200 miles from the State of South Carolina's capital to Charleston as a relay starting early morning on March 22nd running through the night into the afternoon on March 23rd.
Through this endeavour we are not only hoping to achieve personal goals but also raise money for a great cause. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society which is dedicated to a world without blood cancers.
This is close to home for me as the team organizer as a wonderful family friend has lymphoma and another dear friend's little boy has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia. If you could spare a small amount to provide life saving treatment and fund ground breaking research our team, and those who benefit from this wonderful charity, would be very grateful. Any amount, however small is welcomed.
