Four years ago, a studio family lost their son Landon to a rare form of childhood
cancer. Landon fought a courageous fight, one that left a lasting impression on those
who watched him fight. Before he died, his dad asked if there was anything he
wanted his dad to do. Landon responded with, “Dad just do something, so other kids
don’t have to go through this!” That became our motto and our steadfast goal. In a
few short years, the L3 Foundation (Live, Love, Landon) has raised over $300,000.
L3 has already donated over $ 200,000 to cancer research doctors here in Houston.
When the foundation was established, the board members decided that this would
be a kid-based foundation, with the adults serving as mentors to help guide and
empower the kids to take on the message to #DoSomething. For the past 3 years, we
have done Dancers Kickin’ Cancer Shows as well as a Danceathon.
Stacey’s Dance Studio is blessed with hundreds of healthy dancers who are
looking forward to participating in our “Let’s Dance 2018 Recitals”, so this year we
are mixing things up a bit and are going to give each dancer as well as family
members and friends the chance to “#DoSomething” for childhood cancer. Please help as all donations go directly to fighting cancer!
