Hello friends and family! I know what you’re thinking, a Marathon? Are we crazy? To be honest, we might be. But this is much more than just a marathon to us. This is about spreading awareness for Parkinson’s Disease. This disease has had a strong presence in both our lives. Brenna’s father was diagnosed 10 years ago, and Mark’s grandfather was diagnosed 4 years ago. Seeing our loved ones affected by this progressive disease is not easy. It’s been difficult for both of us to know what we can do to help, This is why we are committed to raising money together, to support the fight against Parkinson’s.
We are so lucky to have be selected to run for the Parkinson’s Foundation in the 2019 Chicago Marathon. This organization makes it their mission to make lives better for people with Parkinson’s by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. This is exactly why we can’t wait to run as part of the Parkinson’s Champions Team. Not only are we running for Jim DeVincentis and Volo Pen, but for everyone affected by Parkinson’s, because this disease is a marathon, not a sprint.
We love you both, and these 26.2 are for the strength the two of you continue to show us everyday.
