This Giving Tuesday we are celebrating ten years of helping runaway and homeless teen mothers and homeless teen girls through our Transitional Living Program. Over the past ten years the Transitional Living Program has helped more than 150 homeless young women break the cycle of homelessness and move into safe, permanent housing.
Join us on Giving Tuesday and throughout the holiday season in building upon ten years of success to ensure the safety of homeless young teen mothers and homeless teen girls.
Your support will help homeless teen mothers and homeless teen girls complete their education, gain employment, and successfully move into safe, permanent housing. Make the difference in the lives of some of the region's most vulnerable people, donate today.
The best way that we can demonstrate the impact that your donation makes is through the words of some of the homeless teen mothers engaged in the TLP program:
" I really like the program. The things I like the most is that they really inspire me to do better in life as far as better job opportunities and being a good mother to my daughter. The program made me became a better person and also feel better about myself and to push forward and never give up on life as well as myself. While in the Transitional Living Program I started a new job with better opportunities and a better pay. I have goals that I will be completing when leaving the program to be on my own. I want to be a certified nurse by the time im 24 years old and in a house to call my own. My daughter will be in a good school in a good neighborhood . My other goal is to make sure my daughter will never want for anything in life."
"What I like about this program is that they help to prepare you for life after you leave the program far as how to insure you pay your rent on time, how to save money, budgeting, who to call when you have problems in your apartment etc When I leave PathWays PA I hope to have stable paying job as a CNA in hopes to be self sufficient while enrolling back into college. "
" What I like most about the program is that they are helping change my whole life around and helping me to become a better mother to my daughter also helping me to be more of an responsible adult. They care for my health and future and I couldn't have asked for anything better, My goals after completing this program is to be able to take every life skill lesson I learned and be able to put it to the test such as budgeting money, putting my priorities first and also becoming a better mother. "
We would also like to share two additional videos from young women served through the Transitional Living Program. These young women have shared their unique stories, goals, and perspectives on the program.
