GBMC Sexual Assault Forensic Examination (SAFE) and Domestic Violence (DV) Program is the region's most comprehensive sexual assault, abuse, and DV center.
Who:All men, women, and children are encouraged to walk what: A one-mile fun walk that aims to shift perspectives about sexual assault, domestic abuse, and gender violence
When: Saturday, April 6 at 10 a.m. – rain or shine! 9 a.m registration. A post-walk party with food and prizes starts at 10:30 a.m.

Did you know, GBMC is the only hospital in all of Baltimore County, Harford County, and Baltimore City that provides services for victims of all ages across the lifespan? That’s why I’m participating in the 4th Annual Walk a Mile in Their Shoes Event to support victims of sexual assault and domestic violence on Saturday, April 6, 2019.
AT GBMC • In 2018, the SAFE Program saw a total of 382 patients, including a total of 43 medical-forensic consultations, approximately 183 SAFE exams, and 79 non-fatal strangulation exams. • 42% of all SAFE exams were pediatric • 98% of SAFE cases were female and 2% were male • In 2018, the Domestic Violence Program saw a total of 364 patients
