What is it?
The South Coast Bikeway Alliance (SCBA) is holding its first regional bike-ride fundraiser, Pedal for the Path, on September 16. Registration and volunteer info is available on the SCBA website and FaceBook page.
Riders, if you want to fundraise, you can do so (of course!) but it's not required. Just click the "Donate Now" button on the right/above.
Can't ride, but want to support us? This is the site for you. Use the "Donate Now" button on the right/above, and encourage your friends to do the same.
About the event:
As a participant, you can count on 52 miles of fabulous cycling, postcard perfect scenic views, more historic places than you can count, and, along the way, memorable ice cream, donuts, and more. Once you finish, you can enjoy live entertainment on-site featuring the Mid-Life Crisis band, food trucks, beer from Moby Dick Brewery, and delicious local wine from our host -- Running Brook Vineyard.
Friends and family welcome to hang out at the Vineyard during the morning and join the post-ride entertainment.
What will funds be used for?
We need an engineering feasibility study so that Dartmouth, New Bedford, and Westport can move closer to completing their portions of a multi-use South Coast Scenic Bikeway. The Bikeway will span Swansea to Wareham. Pieces already exist in Fall River, Fairhaven, New Bedford and Mattapoisett. Please help us finsih it!
Check out the route map and FAQ on the SCBA website.
