Hi, I‘m Brian. I grew up in Boston (Rozzi) and I’m now a lawyer in DC and I really want to help the Pine Street Inn, an amazing organization serving the homeless population of Boston. Here are some pictures of some of my best friends who’ve endured me talking to them on long runs throughout the years.
My brother Dan has worked for Pine Street for over a decade. My other brother, Chris, has worked his entire career helping the Boston Public Schools through City Year, he’s in the Coast Guard Reserves, and he ran the Marathon last year in the cold, wind, and rain. I’m clearly behind the family when it comes to public service, so PLEASE help me catch up! For years, I’ve been looking forward to the opportunity not only to run the Boston Marathon, but to run for this important cause. There is nothing more important than helping those who are less fortunate, especially those without a place to sleep or to call home.
Pine Street Inn provides a comprehensive range of services, including permanent supportive housing, job training and placement, emergency shelter and street outreach to nearly 2,000 homeless men and women each day. Founded in 1969, Pine Street is the largest resource for homeless men and women in New England.
Please contribute today, and pray for good and safe weather this winter...and on 4/15!
