Crop & Kettle is a non-profit, social enterprise that utilizes the food system to provide job training and social development to members of our community who are eager to overcome their current obstacles to employment.
Combining the agricultural and industrial influences that are present within the region, students in our programs receive a complete farm to fork experience as they actively engage in a unique culinary curriculum that imparts both technical training and valuable life skills. Throughout their time in the program, students learn the basics of planting, cultivating, and harvesting their own herbs and vegetables in addition to caring for livestock. Then, taking those farm-grown foods into the kitchen, students learn culinary skills and food safety practices that can be applied toward a growing future in the food-service industry.
Through our programs, Crop & Kettle will instill a renewed sense of value & purpose into each student, so that they will be equipped & confident to achieve gainful employment & lifelong stability.

MANY MILESTONES AHEAD:
In 2018, Crop & Kettle established the foundations of our organization and programs. In the year to come, we’re excited to see the vision of our organization come to life and all of the life-change that will result because of it! It will be a year of many milestones, including:
Hiring our initial staff who will lead the organization and each facet of our programs;
Remodeling, repurposing, and opening our facility for operation; and
Enrolling, educating, graduating, and employing our first cohort of students!
PLANTING ON GOOD SOIL:
We desire to achieve each of these milestones responsibly & sustainably with respect to our fiscal resources. To that end, we established this Inauguration Campaign that we affectionately call, the "PLANT A SEED" campaign in order to bring even greater awareness of our mission to the community and to gain further support that will ensure program stability for our students and organizational sustainability for our community.
Our goal is to raise $175,000 in this campaign prior to opening our doors through a combined means of individual donations, organizational and/or corporate donations, grants, and in-kind donations of good or services.
The figure above represents our first six months of operating and start-up costs. Raising these funds ensures that when we enroll the first cohort of students into our six month program, we will (at the very least) complete the commitment that we made to them and honor the investment that each of you made in us.
We thank you in advance for your personal support. Your intrepid spirit shows great faith in the mission and trust in our organization! Even further, your generosity ignites inspiration and builds a foundation for the success of our programs!
SPREAD THE SEEDS:
Whether you’re able to make a contribution at this time or not, we encourage you to share this campaign with your friends, family, and colleagues using the links provided.
We’re confident that your enthusiasm will further inspire others!
