This past Sunday, a lot of us got together with our families to celebrate our moms. Mother's Day is an opportunity for us to express gratitude for the women that raised us.
But some kids aren't so lucky. Everyday, children are born into homes that are devastated by traumas like violence, poverty, illness and death of a parent. These vulnerable kids so desperately need a good role model and a hopeful message.
The money raised will support professionals who have devoted their lives to helping kids heal. The Life is Good Kids Foundation (LiGKF) sponsors trainings, retreats and continuing education of childcare professionals in schools, hospitals and social service agencies.
Ellen Huyler, Shelley Rosen-Howard, Brooke Peery and their (favorite?) PFY teacher Michael Simpson will get together on Saturday, 5/19 at Montclair State University. They'll take turns practicing yoga for 13 hours straight to reinforce their commitment to the LiGKF's worthy cause. Because when you do good, you feel good.
If you're unable to attend our special event, you can show your support with a small donation. Please share this page with your friends, family and coworkers!
