Protect The Brain Campaign is motivated to empower athletes and their families to have a voice in the return-to play decision with their physicians and coaches. We believe in importance of brain health and want to provide the youth an opportunity to protect the brain and stay proactive in their recovery. Every individual brain is unique, meaning recovery after a brain injury is just as specific.
The PTB Campaign brings an innovative technology to the world of youth sports and concussion management that provides athletes, parents, trainers, coaches, and physicians the ability to objectively identify brain activity and concussions allowing them to make a better informed and accurate return-to-play decision. The goal is administer baseline WAVi scans to young kids and teens before their sport season. After a PTB athlete experiences an impact incident, on or off the field, or is experiencing signs of a concussion, we will provide any followup (post-concussion) WAVi scans to compare data of the most current brain activity against their original baseline scan.
We are here to assist athletes and their families by providing important brain activity data and resources until they are comfortable with their recovery progress. When the fundraising goal is met, Protect The Brain Campaign will host an event to provide 300 scans to student athletes at Altoona High School in Acworth, GA.
