The initiative "Race 4 OYE" began in 2010 with one runner who wanted to make his race count. Since then, more than 50 runners have "Raced 4 OYE" in cities across the US and the world, raising over $30,000 to support the Organization for Youth Empowerment (OYE), a youth development non-profit based in El Progreso, Honduras that is dedicated to educate, empower and engage promising disadvantaged youth to break cycles of poverty and become agents of change in their homes, schools and communities. This year, we are seeking 10 runners - and friends - to run a race and raise $1000 (or more!) each, for a total of $10,0000. For OYE, $10,000 will ensure that 20 promising students from resource-poor families have the opportunity to continue their education in 2018.
