Church Recovering After Two Break-Ins
ORLANDO, FL — Police, Pastor, and church members are seeking information about a young man who broke-into and vandalized All Saints Lutheran Church two nights in a row this week. The break-ins occurred on Sunday, March 18, and Monday, March 19. Security footage shows the lone individual, teen-early twenties, arriving on bicycle, stealing offering and other items, and vandalizing church. When he came back the next night, he made obscene gesture at security cameras, broke other windows and equipment.
“Our goal in telling this story is threefold,” said Pastor Brian George:
1) “This individual needs help from officials,” adds Pastor George. The church is concerned that while he is young now, he will only escalate his actions in the future unless intervention is taken immediately. “We as a church forgive him, but hope officials can help this man so that he can turn from these types of action early in life,” hopes Pastor George.
2) The church also wants to alert neighbors to this situation so they can take proper precautions.
3) There is a fundraiser on CrowdRise.com to help with damages and with hopes the community can help: www.crowdrise.com/all-saints-lutheran-church
Those with information are asked to contact the Orlando Police Department at 407-836-4357.
