From RESCUED PETS MOVEMENT (RPM)
Houston, Texas has one of the worst animal overpopulation problems in the country. Due to massive overcrowding in our city's pounds, thousands of adoptable dogs and cats are killed every year. And it’s not because they are too sick to save – it’s because of a lack of space.
Who We Are
Founded in 2013, Rescued Pets Movement (RPM) gives these animals the second (and sometimes third and fourth) chance they deserve. Our goal is to provide rehabilitation crucial to improving their health, followed by transportation to reputable rescue partners in communities across the country with a need for adoptable pets.
What We Do
In just over 4 years, RPM has saved over 25,000 death-row dogs and cats, and we have been instrumental in increasing the “Save Rate” in City of Houston pounds from a mere 37% to our current average of a consistent 85+%. Through the creative thinking and thousands of hours invested by our volunteers and foster families, we now provide hope to homeless pets just like Dino all across Houston.
How You Can Help
Your kind donation will help Rescue Pets Movement do its part in wiping out this number in Houston. Together, we can save these animals from overcrowding in shelters and give them a better life – the happy life they deserve. Every donation counts as we move toward our goal of giving these animals a second chance.
What is that life worth to you?
