Opportunity Resources, Inc. (ORI) one of Missoula, Montana’s legacy nonprofit organizations— 63-years pioneering the empowerment of individuals with disabilities on many societal fronts—housing, employment, education, creative arts, and recreation—with the end goal of full integration of all individuals within our community-at-large. Currently, ORI supports 750 individuals with a wide spectrum of developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities live independent, productive lives.
Today, many of ORI’s basic programs are at risk of reduction, and, in some cases, complete elimination. One of these programs, Opportunity Resources’ award-winning EmployAbilities Program, has been placing individuals with disabilities in community-based jobs for over 30 years. Currrently, over 250 EmployAbilities clients are working in local businesses.
The Run For Opportunity is a community-based team of runners and walkers who are determined to make sure that ORI continues to train and find employment for hard-working adults and young adults of all abilities.
