A thriving, diverse small business community is key to creating more equitable, inclusive communities. For the last decade, The Rocky Mountain MicroFinance Institute (RMMFI) has used entrepreneurship has a tool for economic and social mobility in Denver's under-resourced communities. RMMFI's goal is not simply to launch businesses but to launch healthy entrepreneurs who can use business ownership to generate wealth for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Since 2008, RMMFI has launched 183 businesses in the Denver Metro Area, dispersed over $425,000 in loan capital (maintaining a 95% repayment rate), and graduated 21 classes of its Business Launch Boot Camp.
This year a group of RMMFI team members are running the Colfax Marathon Relay to raise funds to support RMMFI programs and this amazing community that invests every day in local entrepreneurs. Your support is SO appreciated by our staff, volunteeers, and (of course) entrepreneurs. Thank you!
