Congratulation to Your Triumph!

Sacred Heart Academy 100 Mile Club “OPERATION ELKAY” fundraiser, hosted by Jersey Mike’s Redlands Packing House District location, has been a success!! Our Goal is fulfilled; as a result, we can continue to keep our students healthy!

The entirety of the fundraiser’s success has been a school wide contribution and all of Sacred Heart Academy should be proud of themselves! In one week, you raised $2047.00 eating Jersey Mike’s subs.

On behalf of the Sacred Heart Academy 100 Mile Club Team (Jocelin Tavares, Maya Bacon, Miranda Carberry, Jessica Tucker, and Juliet Wozniak), thank you so much for making a difference in our students’ education!

Sacred Heart Academy launched 100 Mile Club

2018/2019 school year!

Our team continues a zero cost to all who want to join due to generous donors and sponsor. Sacred Heart Academy 100 Mile Club is continually accepting donations. You may either donate through Crowdrise or directly to the school.

Your patronage to secure funds is essential for the continuous growth of this program, so students can achieve their end Goals this school year. The 100 Mile Club program overall Goal is to keep the momentum boosting academic improvements in the classroom and conquer national health diseases.

Two Goals For Sacred Heart Academy 100 Mile Club:

One, boost academic achievements such as more energy and improve concentration levels in our students.

Two, join the fight against national health diseases our children are exposed in today’s time.

We Do Not Want to Leave Anyone Out:

When students reach 25 miles, they will be presented with a fantastic t-shirt that is designed to show off your child’s accomplishments throughout the year (Incentive Package). At the end of the school year, we will have the Gold Medal Ceremony. Students will be recognized for their accomplishments.

Why 100 Mile Club:

The 100 Mile Club® was started over 20 years ago by Kara Lubin, a teacher in the Corona-Norco Unified School District. 100 Mile Club® is now a non-profit organization whose sole mission is to provide to all individuals the opportunity to experience fitness and TRUE personal success by Accepting the Challenge of running, walking or jogging 100 miles during a single school year.

Did You Know:

Childhood obesity and inactivity has grown at an alarming rate and now affects more than 30% of children, making it the most common chronic childhood disease? 70% of obese children already have at least one risk factor for heart disease.

The age of 6 is when sociocultural factors start influencing body dissatisfaction, leading to pervasive negative body esteem. Experts believe schools are a key setting for efforts to prevent childhood obesity. The last couple of decades has revealed school’s fitness programs boost student classroom concentration and energy levels as well as overall health.

For Every Step We Take Counts Toward Better Health!
