Houses in Paraguay (and most of Latin America for that matter) typically have bars on the windows to prevent break-ins. However, the houses at the children's home "El Camino" have never had them and we have been blessed to have never had trouble with robberies... until recently. For the past six months, we have struggled with a string of break-ins and robberies where hundreds of dollars in cell phones, laptops and cash have been stolen from the houses. We have been working with the police to stop these and taking measures to put an end to this. We know that money and things can be replaced, but we never want to see these precious kids put in a place where they could be harmed physically by an emboldened intruder. Would you please consider giving to help us keep these children safe? We have been given an estimate by a local welder to put bars on the windows of the five houses where the children live. The total cost is only $2,408. Together we can reach this goal and make a big difference in the life of these amazing young people.
$46 would secure a large window
$12 would secure a small bathroom window
$481 would secure an entire house
