Last year I was asked to join Sandy Hook Promise and run the NYC Marathon to help raise funds for Sandy Hook Promise. I had not really run in years, and had scratched off the idea of running a marathon from my bucket list. Well, it was hard. I didn't get to train as well as I had wanted. But when I told the people at Sandy Hook that I wasn't ready and wouldn't finish, but would be sure to meet my fundraising goal. . . I was told by the Sandy Hook team that I would finish the marathon. There were 26 angels in heaven who would get me through my 26 miles. Well they carried me through and I finished the marathon.
Since last November, I have spoken more than 20 times to groups about Sandy Hook Promise and have started multiple schools in Bergen County down the path of bringing the Sandy Hook Promise programs into our schools.
We can do more! This year I am going to raise $50,000. I need your help. If I've spoken to your group, if I've done anything to inspire you, I ask you to please make a donation in any size. . . $10 to $50,000. . . I'll take any amount. If you are the owner of a company and want to make a donation, I would be happy to wear your company hat in the marathon, or speak at a company event. I am humbled to work with this team. Thank you for all that you do, and for allowing me to contribute in any way that I can help!!
