We are raising money for the Saturdays in Motion program which is a non-profit organization that helps children with autism and their families. From the months of about October to February, volunteers come in and play with children with special needs. There are about 3-4 sessions a month and all of the volunteers are passionate and hardworking middle school, high school, and occasionally college students who give 2 hours out of their weekend to play with and spend time with children who have special needs. In many instances this experience is one of the few times that children with special needs can interact with their peers in a safe and encouraging environment. The Saturdays in Motion program is run by Art Raynes who started the program 25 years ago for his own son William. The program just successfully finished its 25th year in the spring and as a non-profit organization the program needs the help of the community to conintue to help families with a child who has special needs in the future. Along with an online donation option, you are invited to come to our fundraiser at the Somerset Hills YMCA on October 8th from 1-3 pm. Any donations help considerably! Please help us spread joy and happiness in the lives of children with autism and other special needs in our community and their families. Thank you so much! Your donation greatly helps!
