Originally built as a residential property, Villa Cristina is a mansion with much potential as an event venue however, it is also in risk of financial foreclosure due to the 2008 economic crisis. The bank that financed its construction loan is not willing to give permanent financing. My family and I have sought loans from other banks but all have been unwilling to finance a start-up business venture. For this reason, funding is needed to avoid eminent foreclosure. Since 2008, this burden has been bringing my parents (homeowners) and I down because we know the property truly has so much to offer the public. This house was created by my mom from the ground up. Every detail of the estate has stemmed from her vision and thus, my only goal at the moment is to save it so that she can transform it into an event venue business and eventually, reside in it.
Villa Cristina is a lavish Mediterranean Estate situated on 2.5 acres in Miramar, Florida. Sporting an impressive landscape that includes a fountain and a courtyard leading to two enormous dungeon doors, the house makes one feel as if they were in the countryside in Italy or Spain.
The estate also includes a barn, stables, chicken coops, batting cage, pool (24-ft x 48-ft), four terraces, and a bridge above a small pond leading to a gazebo. I also think the farm has the potential to be used as its own separate business venture (livestock, agriculture, etc.). Moreover, the interior features include a media room, a billiard room, an office, beautiful arched windows, two fireplaces, and detailed iron railings. A 2-car garage resides on either side of the house, totaling 4 garages.
There is ample space for parking so multiple cars and/or trucks are not an issue for multi-purpose use. Therefore, the house is Ideal for photography, movies, TV shows, soap operas, music videos, event venues, etc. The possibilities are endless with amenities as such provided. It is these unique amenities that will make the estate a memorable place for many people on many occasions. However, none of these possibilities can come to fruition if the bank forecloses. We have already come so far and I am positive the light at the end of the tunnel is near.
Thus far, the house has been used for the music video of a "Love and Hip-Hop Star", as well as a wedding photo shoot. I have been approached by so many others (on a daily basis) who would like to use it for weddings (millennials are resorting to estates and residential properties for their weddings as opposed to hotels and ballrooms where they cannot customize it to their liking), wedding websites, and parties and while my heart would love to rent it for these purposes, my heart is tense with bank foreclosure looming over. Furthermore, I have to finish the pool (a major attraction in the backyard) because only the shell is up and I do not have the income at the moment to do so.
Please look at the Dropbox link provided as it contains professional photos taken of both the interior and exterior of the house. Also, please stay tuned to my page as photography from a recent wedding photo shoot will be posted shortly!!!! :)
