Story

Our Story

Maddie Potts was a beloved part of our community. Students, teachers, friends, and family all looked up to Maddie. Taken from this world at the age of 17, the impact that she left on everyone, even those who didn't know her personally, is one that will last a lifetime. Maddie always encouraged people to look on the bright side, and to never give up. Being the captain of both the soccer and lacrosse teams, she always wanted people to be active. This event will help with her dream. Not only was Maddie a legend on the field, but her smile lit up any room she was in. Brave, beautiful, passionate, exemplary, she was someone that everyone wanted to be like.

WHERE YOUR DONATIONS GO
All proceeds from the Second Annual Maddie Potts 5k Fun Run will be donated to Maddie Potts Foundation, an organization that gives back to athletic and art programs, along with providing other benefits to our community.

OUR PARTNER
We've joined forces with Positive Tracks– an organization that helps young people get active for causes they care about. Through Positive Tracks’ Challenges Program, they are helping me organize the Maddie Potts Memorial 5K and doubling dollars raised by all participants up to $300!

If you can’t make a donation at this point, help me reach my goal by sharing this on social media or coming to cheer at my event! Or, even better, send an email to friends who might be interested in participating or contributing, and include a link to my page.
