Seeds of Peace inspires and cultivates new generations of global leaders in communities divided by conflict. We equip them with the skills and relationships they need to accelerate social, economic, and political changes essential for peace. Each summer, hundreds of Israeli, Palestinian, Jordanian, Egyptian and American teenagers and educators join our three-weeks summer camp in the woods of Maine. There, they engage for the first time with peers across lines of conflict otherwise not possible in their home countries.
As a Jew who has family residing in Israel, I have grown up with a very singular perspective. After living with a Palestinian host-family in Amman Jordan and studying the Arabic language and conflict from a new point of view, I eagerly support this organization's strategy of providing children in the region a safe space to begin to mend tensions.
