I teach an amazing young man named J. He took the initiative to seek out an advanced high school math residential summer program at Harvard/MIT and was accepted!
The downside is they are only able to offer him a 50% scholarship, which leaves a $2500 remainder. Opportunities like these are the kind of things that even begin to level the field for some of our students in DC. J has worked extremely hard this year to attain a 4.11 GPA and is extremely interested in computers, coding, and gaming. A chance to network in a program such as this will be invaluable to his future success. I can guarantee that the time and money could not be spent on more worthy, impressive, and hard working young man.
Please donate what you can and help us send J to Cambridge!
