The mission of the Global Autism Project is to promote the acceptance and integration of individuals with autism worldwide. They provide culturally relevant, sustainable training by improving programs already in progress and maintaining communication with partnerships centers year-round. They work with people, not for them.
I applied and was chosen by the Global Autism Project to travel to India next February! I am so grateful for the opportunity to help raise awareness of evidence-based therapy in another country. Once in India, I will be working with SOREM, a center for children with autism and related disabilities. I will be training staff for two weeks and reaching out to caregivers .
My goal before the trip is to raise $5,000 for this non-profit organization. All money raised will go directly to the Global Autism Project to continue their work throughout the year. I’m passionate about this organization, because their training model aligns with my therapeutic ethics of helping people; help people, help themselves. Please help me reach my fundraising goal to support individuals with autism reach their potential – no matter where they live.
