We met while tutoring students for their B'nai Mitzvah through the Beth El TaRBuT program. Having a B'nai Mitzvah at Beth El requires three years of study through the synagogue and the program relies on teens to teach these students. All the tutors at TaRBuT are unpaid. One important way Beth El and our communty says thank you to these teens, for giving their Saturday mornings to tutor students, is to provide them with scholarships. These scholarships are used to help ease the financial burden on their family to attend Jewish summer camps, visit Israel on educational programs, or participate in other educational Jewish opportunities. It is important to both of us that a family's financial background doesn't limit a child's opportunities to take part in these important experiences. We hope you will consider donating to Beth El's TaRBuT Scholarship Fund to support these students.
