Most people think of Red Cross when huge disasters hit, like hurricanes and tornados. But we response to home fires most frequently. Seven times a day someone in the US dies in a house fire, and more than 60% of fire deaths occur in homes without working smoke alarms. It's simple to prevent and that's why I'm proud to work on the "Sound the Alarm" campaign for Red Cross and support smoke alarm installations in 100+ high-risk communities this October.
Just $15 can cover the fire safety training and installation of 1 smoke alarm. Please consider supporting "Sound the Alarm" to help prevent and reduce home fires deaths.
