St. Peter Claver Regional Catholic School, located in Decatur, Georgia, is a Catholic elementary school with a diverse student body in grades Pre-K through eighth grade. St. Peter Claver has a proud tradition that reaches back to 1961 when its doors opened as the parish school of Sts. Peter and Paul. In 2001, the school was re-dedicated and given the name St. Peter Claver Regional Catholic School and today welcomes students from eight metro Atlanta parishes. A small but growing school of 119 students includes many English Language learners who speak over five languages other than English in their respective homes – Spanish, Burmese, Zotung, Malay, and Amharic. Students in grade levels PK through sixth grade are in two grade combination classes where a Blended Learning approach supports learning, practice, review, study and project-based learning. Demonstration of Christ’s Love is foundational at St. Peter Claver where students strive to live out its mission to “learn, lead, inspire, and serve in local and global communities through Catholic teachings rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, rigorous academics, and spiritual formation.” We aspire to take our school from good to great in every way and provide our precious and deserving students with the same opportunities and resources of fellow schools. We look to the generous help of ACE to aid us with our goal of our Track and Field of Dreams and other classroom resources and materials. This gift of treasure will help us provide a safe place to participate in exercise, track and field events, and soccer and provide additional support and resources to our students and staff. We love our ACE Teaching Fellow here at SPC, and thank ND ACE for their lasting touch here at our beloved SPC.
