These precious children need your help. They come from different parts of the world but have a terrible thing in common. They all have the rare disease MSD (Multiple Sulfatase Deficiency), a disease now recognized by NORD (National Organization of Rare Disorders). MSD generally takes children by age 10 or by prior to adulthood depending on when their symptoms start. It is progressive and irreversible but there is a known genetic cure. One huge obstacle for which we ask your help - there are so few children with MSD (under 50 in the world) that the pharmaceutical companies will not fund the process to bring the known cure to these children and others in the world. The cure will benefit all children with MSD now and in the future. But time is critical because some of these children are in advanced stages and don't have much time left. The cure will not reverse this progressive disease, but it will halt further damage to their bodies and prevent symptoms in those who have not yet become symptomatic.
