Across the country, the Red Cross will Sound the Alarm from September 23 through October 15 through a series of home fire safety and smoke alarm installation events in more than 100-high-risk communities; with volunteers and partners installing 100,000 free smoke alarms!
These events are related to our ongoing Home Fire Campaign and we’re thrilled to predict our one millionth smoke alarm being installed during one of these Sound the Alarm events. The Red Cross responds to nearly 64,000 disasters a year, the majority of which are home fires. Home fires represent a significant threat to our communities.
Together, we can Sound the Alarm about fire safety and help save lives. Please help us by volunteering to install smoke alarms, making a financial contribution or taking steps to protect your own family from home fires. We’re on a mission to make the Michigan Region safer! soundthealarm.org/Michigan
