Dear Friends & Family, I am writing to ask for your compassion and support. During the past few months, I have been closely following the footage from Japan, and am heartbroken as we continue to watch the aftermath of this devastation unfold.
In 2008 and 2009, I have been fortunate to visit Japan. I visited Kyoto, Nara, Tokyo with my brother in 08 and Hiroshima, Takayama, Shirakawa, and Tokyo by myself in 09. Japan is a great country with gorgeous nature, deep history, amazing food, and last but not least, one of the kindest people I've met. And these people need our help. I humbly ask for your generosity and support for this fundraiser. Your donation will go to the American Red Cross.
This summer, I'll be participating in my first triathlon in an incredible event called Life Time Minneapolis Triathlon. This is one of the best multi-sport event in the U.S. and it is needless to say I am very daunted by the prospect of swimming 1.5km, biking 40km, and running 10km. I am not the type of person that is good at, or takes joy in endurance sports. However, I am inspired by the cause and the potential impact our contributions can make.
Please donate what you can. And more importantly, please pray for Japan and all those around the world who, as you read this, are facing unimaginable challenges. I've set an aggressive goal of $2,000 and I hope you can help me achieve this. I've pledged $200 but will double my contribution if we reach $3,000.
Please share this with your friends as well. Thank you for your time, love, and friendship.
