Our journey with brain tumors was quick, and painful. One week after being told Dad had a brain tumor he was gone. In that week we camped out in the hospital, cried, laughed, worried, loved, and ate a lot (his favorite). We hoped this wouldn't be our story, we hoped for recovery and great news, but we didn't get it. My Dad died on November 2nd, 2017. He had Glioblastoma Metforme Stage 4.
On the morning of surgery to remove the brain tumor Dad said he had the song "One Tin Soldier" stuck in his head feeling like he was heading into a battle. Our soldier lost his battle, but Steves Tin Soldiers battle on in his memory for brain tumor research.
