Kittens are precious and adorable, but they are also the most vulnerable and have the highest risk of being killed when they go into shelters, because they require medical treatment and a lot of time for feeding and care.
Stray Cat Alliance started a project called Safe-At-Home in 2016 that is focused on saving vulnerable little kittens from going into shelters, with the cooperation and support of the shelter. Stray Cat Alliance Counselors are literally stationed at the door of the shelter preventing kittens from going inside to die, and working with the community to foster them instead. These kittens are sick and sometimes injured and require medical care and treatments. Once they are older and healthier, we adopt them into forever homes.
In 2016 we saved 374 kittens through Safe-At-Home. In 2017, we saved 564 kittens. We want to save 800 kittens in 2018 through Safe-At-Home! Please help us raise the funds to do it!
The Saving Pets Challenge is critical to supporting the Safe-At-Home project and saving more kittens desperately in need of help. Together, with your help, we can ensure that they are safe and healthy and in a home where they are treasured. Every Cat Deserves To Be Safe-At-Home!
