WellStrong is honored to be selected as one of the charities benefiting from this year's Annual Charter Cup Fishing Tournament. The Annual Charter Cup Fishing Tournament donates 100% of proceeds to benefit local charities that are involved. The tournament has raised over $126,000 since the 1st one in 2017.
This year's tournament will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Baxter's Fish & Chips in Hyannis, MA. The tournament will have 11 boats raising a minimum of $2,500 for their chosen charity. WellStrong's boat will be captained by Bruce Kelly, owner of Bay Colony Concrete Forms and Bill Gibson, owner of Gibson Waterproofing.
WellStrong is a non-profit organization that supports people in recovery from substance use disorder. We are focused on helping members get stronger physically. We offer classes such as running groups, meditation, yoga classes, cardio classes, yoga for 12 step recovery and have a full open gym. The first three months of WellStrong membership are free and the only requirement for membership is 48 hours in recovery. Classes are taught by certified and licensed fitness and wellness professionals, many who are in recovery themselves. WellStrong programs, events and memberships are sustained by donors and community funding.
The Charter Cup tournament will not be successful without generous donations from people like you and the local community. We are so grateful for any contribution that you are able to make. Your support will truly be making a difference in the recovery community.
