Endurance Sports & Fitness Magazine is dedicated to telling the stories of athletes who may not have a venue to talk about the amazing endeavors they contribute all their training to. Time and time again, athletes are working hard to raise money for causes such as cancer (all types), international adoption, children's hospitals, impoverished children or athletes with disabilities. Scores of other athletes are raising awareness for organizations like the Wounded Warriors Foundation, HopeCAM, the Tyler Robinson Foundation, and many others who are looking to help others around the world.
Just recently, Franch Fumich of Alexandria, Virgina, flew to Monterrey Mexico and completed a DECA Ironman all for a little girl named Erin. Erin, who is enduring rounds of chemotherapy is one of thousands of kids whose families are struggling to make ends meet in order to pay for Erin's medications and treatment. Frank took two weeks out of his life, at his expense and started fundraising. During the race, he leveraged Facebook in an effort to raise $25,000 for Erin and her family.
Despite Frank's suffering (the DECA can break you mentally and physically) he swam 24 miles, cycled over 1,100 miles and ran 262 miles for Erin. In the end, he raised $40,000 for Erin.
Frank's story is not unique. Athletes, who we support in the pages of our publication need their stories told. Developing a print publication, which many of our readers want, requires writing, editing and laying out the stories; not to mention preparing the print files and distributing the digital equivalent of the magazine. To raise awareness of the magazine, local stores want print copies, as do many of our partners.
We are hoping that you'll support Endurance Sports & Fitness Magazine with a donation today. Our fundraising amount will allow for printing and fulfillment of six issues of the publication.
