On Sunday, June 24, our Susan's Team runners join together to run the 2018 Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) 10K road race to support new discoveries from the research for Progressive MS (multiple sclerosis) being done at Dr. Howard Weiner's MS Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). ALL funds will be directed for Progressive MS research at the BWH MS Center.
Even a small donation - or if you want to run - join the team! - will help Progressive MS research and Susan. I can run, and my teammates can run. We are running for Susan Keith, my dearest friend, who cannot run because of progressive MS. Susan used to be very active - a high school and Mt. Holeyok volleyball player. She is still an incredible, mentally tough, brilliant, and creative writer and thinker and was -- before MS -- a top executive contract attorney at Skadden, Arps and Universal Studios. Because of Progressive MS, Susan can now barely move one hand. She uses an electric wheelchair and a robotic arm to manage her life, along with many health-care helpers and her wonderful partner Jeanne Perry. She and other friends suffering with MS need your research dollars.
I know Dr. Weiner’s research - which includes gut microbe research - will bring us closer to finding a breakthrough for Susan and all of our friends with MS. We are very close to solving the Progressive MS problem with computer modeling of proteins and small molecules, and other important MS research, like gut microbes.
Even a small amount of money could tip the scale and bring us closer to a cure. Your donation can help Susan and others walk again. We need YOUR help to solve this problem. So press > the button < and DONATE now.
Thank you for your generous, giving spirits and love! Barlow
