Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts is a non-profit organization and is the only economics education organization. Our organization brings volunteers from the business community into classrooms to teach students, grades K-12, about staying in school, personal financial responsibility, their roles as responsible consumers, and skills for the world of work. Junior Achievement empowers young people to own their economic success.
Strikes for Success serves as one of our major fundraisers, last year raising critical funds used to provide local students from grades K-12 with experiential, hands on programs to educate them about how to forge successful paths to self-sufficiency. JA Programs have grown by 66% this year with over 6,600 local students receiving age-appropriate and hands-on work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy programming!
Your contribution will help JA provide young people from our community with critical financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship training this year – all at no cost to the students or schools. JA programs empower students to see the connection between what they’re learning in school and how it will affect their future, providing them with valuable teamwork, problem solving and critical thinking skills and getting them excited about life’s possibilities.
