As many of you know, I am a founding board member of Impact360 (www.impact-360.org), an intensive youth-development program, providing historically underserved students from Denver's public schools with comprehensive, year-round access to essential support (Academic, Health and Wellness, and Life Skills) that helps them through middle and high school and, ultimately, into a post-secondary institution of their choice.
Each student chooses to participates in 450 hours of annual support activities with Impact360 (3000+ hours over seven consecutive years) to ensure that he/she has a post-secondary option, and I have witnessed first-hand how successful Impact360 is in its work. Three cohorts have graduated, the Classes of 2015, 2016, and 2017. Students in these two cohorts started with Imapct360 back in 2008 and 2009, respectively. 100% graduated from high school and were accepted into post-secondary institutions. 90% matriculated into a post-secondary option. I am also a mentor to Emily Garcia, class of 2016, who is pursuing a i a career in nursing.
I am participating in our Anschutz-Hunt Challenge Cup, our annual squash and fundraising competition. As a member of Team Bierstadt we are working to raise over $35,000. I believe that my friends and I can raise $4,000. Know that your support will be used carefully and will help change a life.
