In May of 2015 my father, Dr. Christopher Davis, lost his battle with Multiple Myeloma. It was while searching for a way to honor his memory that I found MMore a small charity which funded early stage cancer research focusing exclusively on the disease.
Unfortunately, MMore has closed its doors. Fortunately, the great work they began continues in Seattle with the 2017 Defeat Multiple Myeloma 5k & 1 mile fun run and walk.
Incredible progress has been made in the fight against this horrible cancer. The average survival time from diagnosis has more than doubled since 2000 and, with ground-breaking advancements like Targeted T-cell treatments on the horizon, we've never been closer to achieving our goal. Events like Defeat Multiple Myeloma play a critical role in helping make that possible. However, there's still a lot of work to do in pursuit of that ever elusive cure.
The 2017 Defeat Multiple Myeloma 5k & 1 mile fun run and walk is a fantastic way to get involved in the fight. 100% of every dollar you donate will support myeloma research in the Seattle area. So please, join my team, donate to my fundraising goal, and come out this June 25th to have fun while contributing to an amazing cause.
Thank you to everyone who contributed last year! I hope to see you all again at Magnuson Park on June 25th. We also love to see new faces so please don't forget to spread the word about this fun, family friendly, event!
