Diabetes is a challenge. It requires dedication, a change in lifestyle, a proper education on the disease and a daily, non-stop commitment. It's an expensive disease, not only monetarily but also emotionally and physically. I have had Type 1 Diabetes since I was nine. The strain it can put on your life is abundant and never ending. The true health risks that come with being diagnosed are not being communicated enough to the public. Knowledge of what it means to have this disease is limited outside of the medical world. People need to know the hardships, they need to know the risks. More of us need to find ways to support finding a cure, finding ways to lessen the burden and the restrictions that are placed on diabetics in the professional world. Please find it in your heart to help support this cause, any donations are appreciated.
