This August, I am honored to be joining the GoTeam for the 2018 New Balance Falmouth Road Race. Team IMPACT is an unbelievable program that connects college sports teams with children that are battling serious illnesses. The child becomes a teammate that attends practices, games, and other team events. The team becomes additional support to the child and their family in their day to day struggles. As a student-athlete at Babson College, I was able to see Team IMPACT’s mission play out. I was very moved and motivated by the program and could not be happier to run for such an amazing cause! Please consider donating!

Team IMPACT is a national nonprofit connecting kids with serious and chronic illnesses to local college athletic teams, forming life-long bonds and life-changing outcomes. Since its inception in May 2011, Team IMPACT has matched over 1,500 children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses onto collegiate athletic teams at 500+ schools in 48 states. These children are drafted onto local teams and are given the social and psychological boost they need to get through their treatments and beyond, while giving the student-athletes perspective and teaching them lessons in courage and grit that cannot be taught in the classroom or on the field.
On August 19, 2018, the Team IMPACT GoTeam will take on the 7-mile Falmouth Road Race course to raise funds to expand the efforts to match more children with collegiate athletic teams across the country.
