This coming October, I’ll be running the Chicago Marathon for the second time in my life. I'm very happy to announce that I'll be representing Imerman Angels in solidarity with those affected by cancer… especially my mom, Rumi. #teamrumi.
After someone so close to you is touched by cancer, you're never the same. There's an energy that awakens inside you and gives you a clarity and purpose like never before.
While a loved one is literally fighting for their life, you do all you possibly can. You’re right there, doing as much research as possible, giving extra love and attention, being a shoulder to cry on. Making the difficult days ahead better, however you can, means all the difference in the world.
I decided to pledge with Imerman Angels due to its long-standing reputation of being an organization that provides one-on-one support to cancer fighters, survivors, and caregivers.
With my pledge to run the marathon this year, I’m asking all of you to consider supporting me with a donation towards my run to raise money for this cause.
Thank you so very much!
Peace, love and light, XOXO
