It is truly an honor to once again run the Boston Marathon with Team Dimock. Crossing that finish line last year after 20 weeks of training and fundraising is a moment I will never forget (although hope to be much less wet and cold this year). I am a passionate runner and physical therapist in Dorchester, where I work closely with individuals in the greater Dorchester, Roxbury and JP communities. Everyday, I see individuals who don't have access to the healthcare they desperately need, and it breaks my heart. I myself have faced many health obstacles in my life, most recently a back injury a few years ago that I thought had ended my running career. I am forever grateful for the healthcare I have been able to receive and the support system I had along the way – something every individual should have. It means so much to me to be able to give back to the Boston community by doing something I love for a cause close to my heart. Thanks to the Dimock Center, thousands of underserved individuals across Boston are able to receive the comprehensive healthcare they so desperately need with the help of donors like you and me. Now, let’s do this!
