Pulmonary Hypertension / Pulmonary Arterial Hypertesion (PH/PAH) is a chronic and progressive disease that severely limits oxygen to the heart, lungs and other vital organs in the body making it difficult or impossible to participate in normal physical activity due to shortness of breath, dizziness, fatigue or worse. While there is not currently a cure, developments in the field have increased life expectancy and quality of life for those impacted by this rare condition.
Chris Walsh, CVSHealth’s Senior Director for Specialty Sales, became involved with Team PHenominal hope by running marathons on behalf of a young PAH patient named Callie, who had never won a medal or trophy in sports due to her condition. I was so moved by the idea of “lending one’s lungs and heart” to someone to whom it meant so much, that I decided to do the same. So Saturday, September 7, 2019, I will be running in Chicago’s Mag Mile 10K in order to win a medal on behalf of Callie and raise at least $1,000 toward the cause. I do hope you will consider contributing any amount toward this goal. Thank you so much in advance.
