Thank you for visiting my page. After “swimming” 26.2 miles in April 2018 to complete my first Boston Marathon in torrential rain, I’ve decided to do it again. I mean, the weather can’t POSSIBLY be terrible two years in a row, right?
This year I’m feeling more ambitious. I want to complete the Boston Marathon in less than 5 1/2 hours AND I want to raise more money. This year, I’m honored to be partnering with The Lenny Zakim fund and join Team LZF!
Team LZF defines our destination as a world where there is equity, justice and dignity for every individual.
Team LZF knows our destination has the means and ability to provide housing, food, and economic opportunity to all.
Team LZF defines our destination as social justice -- where people are empowered to make positive meaningful change for themselves and their communities.
Your support of Team LZF will allow The Lenny Zakim Fund to continue to support and strengthen programs that are addressing important issues in our communitites -- programs that provide English classes for new Americans, address and stop youth violence, build homes for low income families, and much, much more!
The Lenny Zakim Fund, established in 1995 by Lenny Zakim to reflect his work and ideals, provides resources that enable and empower under-resourced people and communities to effectively address social and economic injustice. The Lenny Zakim Fund is committed to making a positive difference in the lives it touches. The fund is especially interested in supporting groups involved in constructive coalition building across race, religious and ethnic lines, and it does so by providing financial support, education, technical assistance and networking opportunities to individuals and grassroots organizations. The Lenny Zakim Fund supports organizations that:
- Improve educational opportunities for children, youth and immigrants
- Promote positive youth development and prevent violence
- Promote social and economic justice and human and civil rights
- Serve people facing medical challenges and/or physical or cognitive disabilities
