I am proud and honored to be this years co-chair for the NSMC Cancer Walk. All of the funds raised go to support the North Shore Medical Center and the Mass General/North Shore Cancer Center. This year's walk funds will be used to purchase a new surgical robot that will bring advanced technology to treat certain head and neck and prostate cancers. All funds raised up to $1 million will be matched by a private donor. In addition, the funds will help support the construction of the new Oncology Unit in the new building at North Shore Medical Center and continue to benefit the oncology services at both NSMC and the Mass General/North Shore Cancer Center, including trials and wellness care, such as acupuncture. To all my friends and family I hope you will support me by donating whatever amount you can as I work to improve Cancer Care on the North Shore and walk the 10K on June 24th in honor of those who did not survive the disease and those who are Cancer survivors. All of our lives have been touched by Cancer in some way. We all know someone living with Cancer and/or someone who lost their battle to Cancer. I walk and raise money for the NSMC Cancer Walk to help fund improved treatment options for those living with Cancer and help increase Cancer research that eventually will either eradicate Cancer or create treatments that will help those living with Cancer to live longer lives after diagnosis. I invite you to walk with our NSMC Laboratory Team "The Rolling Veins". More importantly I urge you to support me and our team with a contribution to this worthy cause. No matter how small the amount your donation will be put to good use.
