This spring, FriendshipWorks convened a group of ten LGBTQ individuals from across the generational spectrum to share stories from our lives - stories of love and loss, stories about our relationships to health and body and work. Over the course of eight weeks we have done collage together, written poems and done meditations and stretched our bodies and hearts. We have attempted to build cross-generational connection as a way of pushing back against the unique forms of social isolation that LGBTQ elders are susceptible to. We are walking in the Walk To End Elder Isolation to proclaim our visibility and assert our commitment to building more connected, more compassionate, and more joyful communities together. Join us!
