"What would you think if I sang out of tune,
Would you stand up and walk out on me.
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song,
And I'll try not to sing out of key.
Oh I get by with a little help from my friends,
Mmm, I get high with a little help from my friends,
Mmm, I'm gonna try with a little help from my friends."
It's now been over 10 days since the March 11th tsunami, earthquake and radiation leak in northeastern Japan. In some villages, 1 in 10 are confirmed dead, more are missing and over half the town are surviving in high school gymnasiums that doubled up as evacuation and medical centers overnight. I remember traveling through this part of Japan. I remember marveling at the small coastal towns, the sparkling coastline, the tall trees that framed them just so... In another life, I might've dreamed of settling down in one of these towns. On March 11th, I might've been found enjoying a bowl of ramen somewhere near the water.
Maybe we can't each do everything but we can try to each do a little something.
Even if it's just a little, pls give generously.
