March for Science is happening this Sat April 14 all over the USA and the globe with the message of promoting evidence-based policies is at the heart of our mission.
I am helping raise funds for this movement because the governmental shift from fact-based science to climate-change denying and reporting censorship should concern everyone.
Some people feel the message of the March for Science movement is too broad to appeal to enough people but that is precisely the reason it should. There are so many facets to "science" that are being threatened or, flat-out, attacked.
What motivates you to advocacy?
Environmental protection budget cuts
Deregulation pollution monitoring
Preservation of US monuments
Oil pipeline construction
Drilling & mining on federal land
Science education in schools
Fair governmental bidding & contract assignments
Pro-Industry Business accountability
Access to healthcare
Travel bans (could make it harder for scientists from the affected nations to attend U.S. conferences or perform research)
Growing technological threats of war
There is so much at stake with this current administration but by donating to March for Science, we can help get awareness agree it needs to be.
Even if you aren't able to give me by, your time is even more invaluable. Advocate right now whereever you are in whatever you can.
