I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) 20 years ago. I was often told I would experience increased difficulties to walk and even disability.
Now I am training to run the 2018 TCS New York City Marathon for Team Tisch MS (TTMS). I am racing to help repair MS!!!
Today, multiple sclerosis is a chronic, incurable, and often disabling disease of the central nervous system. There is no full understanding of the cause and, while a variety of treatments attempt to halt progression and reduce symptoms, there is no cure for MS. Team Tisch MS (TTMS) is a program which supports the research at Tisch MS Research Center of New York. This research center is committed to finding both the cause and a cure, as well as regenerative stem cell therapies. After a successful FDA-approved Phase I clinical stem cell trial, Dr. Saud A. Sadiq and the research team have begun a Phase II, three-year clinical trial with 50 patients. Funding this initiative is the next critical step to reverse disability and repair the damage caused by MS.
I’m fundraising to make that happen. Please donate and help me reach my Team Tisch MS fundraising goal. Your contribution will support groundbreaking stem cell research, biomarker research to optimize treatments, and investigations into the cause of MS. We all want a future without MS. Together, let’s make a difference.
Thank you so much,
