Hey everyone! Thank you so much for having a look at my fundraising page.
I’m continuing my quest to run all 6 World Marathon Majors (New York, London, Chicago, Berlin, Boston and Tokyo).
Tokyo will be number 4. I’m heading out to Japan in a month and I’m so excited.
After securing my place in Tokyo a friend told me about a chance to qualify for a place in the England Masters Marathon team this year for my age group V35. The qualifying race is Manchester Marathon (5 weeks after Tokyo)
I‘m not sure I’m good enough but I thought hey why not give it a go!
Whenever I do a Marathon I think it’s a perfect chance to raise a bit of money for charities that mean something to me. So I’m really pleased to support Coach-Ed again.
For those of you who don’t know, Coach-Ed is the charity set up by my family in America. It was set up in memory of my cousin Edward who had Cystic Fibrosis and lost his life at just age 22.
Edward‘s dream was to set up a charity to help people just like him suffering with CF. The charity supports people and gives them opportunities to take part in activities which in turn helps hugely with the symptoms of the illness. Some of them have become accomplished athletes and taken on epic challenges. I am in awe of them!
On Sunday 3rd March and Sunday 7th April at the start lines I’ll be thinking of Edward and how I’m so grateful for the motivation he gives me personally and everyone else.
My family and I would be so happy with any donation you can give. Thank you so much!!
Lots of love,
Kat and family
